Managed IT services in Altamonte Springs, Florida
If your front desk handles patient records or card payments, the paperwork should come before the software. That is the order we work in.
Signed before we start
Practices and shops that hold regulated data need to know who is responsible for what before an outside provider gets access. Our HIPAA business associate agreement and PCI DSS responsibility addendum are published on the security page, and no protected health information goes into a system we operate for you until the relevant document is signed. Signing does not make a business compliant by itself. It puts the division of duties in writing, where both sides can point to it.
The Altamonte Springs mix
Much of the city's commercial life runs along SR 436: medical and dental offices, many clustered near AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, along with specialists, pharmacies, salons and the stores around Altamonte Mall. Uptown Altamonte, set around Cranes Roost Park, adds restaurants, apartments and offices, with I-4 close by.
IT trouble here tends to gather at the front desk: a shared check-in computer everyone logs in to under one name, an exam-room PC that has not restarted in weeks, a card terminal sharing a network with the guest Wi-Fi, and staff turnover that leaves old accounts switched on.
Running in production today
- Helpdesk and ticketing. Staff send a ticket by email or through the portal, and a person works it through to the end.
- Remote support and device management. Updates, encryption status and remote sessions across every enrolled computer, so a front-desk PC can be sorted out between appointments.
- Monitoring and alerting. The systems you depend on are checked on a schedule, with service status published at status.sentinelgrid.us.
- The client portal. Tickets, service status and your signed agreements together at portal.sentinelgrid.us.
Where your responsibility stays
We do not provide backups. That service is on the roadmap and has not been built, so keeping copies of patient, practice-management or sales data is your job, and our agreement says so plainly. The same applies to single sign-on across your own applications and to reporting in the portal: planned, not delivered. The full list lives on the build status page.
When a clinic can reach us
Tickets are taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and worked every day, weekends included. A P1, meaning the practice or shop cannot operate, gets a best-effort response within two hours at any hour. On-site visits run Monday to Friday, 3pm to 8pm Eastern, and at weekends by arrangement. If your practice opens on Saturdays, a weekend visit can be booked ahead.
About the provider
SentinelGrid is in open beta, has a location in Seminole County, and is accepting three founding clients at beta rates held for 24 months. Plans begin at $149 a month for monitoring up to ten devices, and the per-user plans are $79 and $129. There is no lock-in. Because one of our locations is in the same county as Altamonte Springs, on-site visits are routine whenever hardware needs attention.
Asked by Altamonte Springs practices
Will you sign a BAA with our practice?
Yes, and it is signed before any protected health information is involved. The blank agreement is on our security page, so you or your compliance adviser can read it first.
Does taking card payments change the arrangement?
It adds the PCI DSS responsibility addendum, which spells out which parts of the work fall to your business and which fall to us. The blank version is published too.
Can you back up our practice management system?
Not today. Backups are unbuilt, so that job stays with you or your software vendor. The free audit will note where your data currently lives, which is a useful starting point for whoever does it.
